We will need pictures (all sides, and sharp/clear as possible), and the info on top of the barrel typed out exactly as it is stamped.

As far as I know, H&R and NEF both offered the single shot shotguns as they are owned by the same parent company. Serials were not required till after the gca of 1968. I have had several 22s made in the 40s or 50s that had no serial and i have seen a few mossberg 500 that didnt have one either. Early Topper 158s had a serial number prefix and serial number that was mixed in with the patent line like on the Topper frame in the pic.I have seen the serial number charts for Harrington Richardson Shot Guns, however , they all list the manufacturing year based on the letter or letters preceding the serial number. There are no letters preceding the serial number on this Shot Gun. Both the receiver and the barrel are stamped. The serial Number is a five digit Number: 27*54.
