The government claims that mountain lions are extinct in Appalachia and no sightings have been confirmed since 1938. There are reports of sightings in garrett county every year, but sightings are quickly dismissed with a lack of evidence. Personally, i think there are still lions around. How about a natural blind made of downed trees, or tops. Or a semi natural blind made by putting 2 or 3 post in the ground with some boards attached to them. You can make something like that blend in very well and I doubt it would be real attractive to a bear.
