Best fishing was straight out from Log Cabin where the milfoil mat had settled to the bottom. We got 2 Walleyes one 17", tons of fat large Northers from 25-30 inches, Large mouths, small mouths and a striper. We saw hardly anything on the locator. We figured at this time of year that the salmon would be in close as they get ready for staging up the river. So we fished in 40 to 60 ft of water assuming we would find things but we found hardly anything at all.A lot of other fish were biting, too. We did find some catfish with cutbait. A sheephead swallowed the hook (go figure) so we kept it and cut it up. We were fishing in 25 feet of water from the shore with set lines. Most fish were caught with worms.
