The North Carolina Zoo staff and animal care team are devastated by the loss of this beloved polar bear. Payton was being transferred to the Louisville Zoo in Kentucky as part of a polar bear breeding partnership. The Zoo’s tours offer a fun family activity that allows visitors to explore nature, learn about wild animals and their habitats, and spend a fun time together.
