Agree with the other points, but Ember is still really good for high level grineer content. She has 100% armor strip and she can ragdoll and burn enemies (2 types of CC). She can also get a lot of energy regen with her augment Exothermic, especially paired with Energize. I use a 95% slow gloom build on her.
