If you depend on your Benelli to save your life or your families, then DON'T. Ghost Loading an extra shell works sometimes but mostly will jam up your shotgun. Posted April 26, 2021. Ghost loading is an issue with all the Comp Pro's. The new lifter and the nub on it is problematic. I pulled that lifter out and replaced it with an old style plain lifter and it solved the ghost loading. Also tried the new lifter in one of my original 1301's and they began ghost loading.This may have been discussed previously. I have seen where some benellis can be ghost loaded. I tried this with my montefeltro to get 5 total 3 inch shells to load. Three (max go into magazine.
