Carpenter 158 vs 9310.

Perhaps this is the wrong outlet to make this question, but can anyone tell me the difference in reliability and longevity between a bolt made from 9310 steel and Carpenter 158 steel? Does one resist shearing better but is more brittle, I assume something along those lines is the difference.
